Q. Do I need to register to place an order?

A. Yes, registration is required for online orders.

Phone & Email orders are also accepted and do not require online registration. 

Q. What is the advantage of online ordering?

A. With online ordering you may place orders anytime day or night.  You can also access your account information, transaction history and track current orders.

Q. How do I register?

A. You can find this under “Your Account.”  Select “New Members Sign Up Here” and then add your information to create account.   You will also be prompted to create a new account or log in to an existing account at the time of purchase.

Q. I forgot my login ID or password?

A. If you forgot your password, to request a new ONE TIME use only password via e-mail, please enter your e-mail address below, and click the 'Request A New Password' button. You will then have to immediately change this password again after you login with it next time. Passwords are not recoverable in the system, so if you lost your password, the only option is to request a new one time use temporary password.

Q. What are your payment options?

A. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. 

We also accept payments via PayPal and wire transfers.

Customers may also pay by check and orders will be completed and shipped once payment is received. 

Q. Do you have a warranty?

A. All new, new surplus and reconditioned items have a one year warranty.

Q. What is your return policy?

A. You will need to contact customer service for a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA.)

Once an RMA is issued all items must be shipped back to A Contact Electric Sales, LP.  Please attach the unique RMA number to all packages.

All returns must be made within 30 days and are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Q. How do I check the status of my order?

A. On the home page click “Track Your Order

You must sign in to your account and go to Order/Billing history to look at order or shipping status.

Q. How do I cancel an order?

A. Any order can be cancelled or revised by calling and emailing sales@acontact.com before the item(s) ships. Most online orders ship within 12-24 hours from time order is placed. Once order has shipped, the customer will need to email sales@acontact.com for a RMA number and be responsible for all shipping charges and a 20% restocking fee.

Q. Do new items carry a factory warranty?

A. New items will be in their original packaging and the warranty will be covered by A Contact Electric Sales, LP as described in our Terms & Conditions.

Factory warranty does not apply as the items have been purchased through sources other than the factory.

Q. Are new surplus items the same as new items?

  A. Surplus items are new parts that have not been energized. We also have New Surplus pull-outs.

For instance:  A new panel with factory installed breakers that have been pulled out to sell individually.

Typically these items will not be in the original packaging.

Q. What is a reconditioned item?

A. Products are cleaned, lubricated, painted and tested to make sure they are electrically ok.

Q. How is my order shipped?

A. Your orders will be shipped by UPS if it is within size and weight restrictions for UPS packages. All other shipments will go by common carrier. Most orders will be shipped the same day if received by 3:00pm central time. Orders that require items to be reconditioned could take additional time to ship. We will notify customers of the estimated shipping date when an order is placed.  More Shipping Info Here.
